Carpenter's Apprentice

My journey in the building trade began in 2005 when I completed a Carpentry and Joinery course and began working as an apprentice for a large carpentry firm. Right from the start, I was passionate about the craft and eager to learn. Within a year, I was trusted to take on a wide range of carpentry and joinery tasks—something I was  proud of, especially at such a young age.

2005-2012

Site Supervisor

Thanks to hard work and a hands-on approach, I was promoted to Site Supervisor, a role I held for over seven years. During this time, I managed teams of up to 30 carpenters on major construction projects, while still working on the tools myself. I was responsible for organising site meetings, preparing workloads for price-based jobs, handling timesheets, managing health and safety reports, ordering materials, and overseeing the quality of deliveries—particularly bespoke joinery.

Tico Contractors Ltd

After gaining extensive experience in both management and hands-on carpentry, I decided to start my own business. What began with small jobs quickly grew thanks to word-of-mouth and loyal clients. We’ve built a strong reputation for high-quality work, reliability, and a personal approach—qualities that keep clients coming back and confidently recommending us.

Website & Social Media

In 2025, we decided it was time to build a website to reflect how the world is changing and to better showcase our portfolio. Many new clients now ask to see photos and examples of our work, so this site is here to help you learn more about what we do.

Today, we’re actively working on a number of exciting projects across the London area, and we’re looking to expand into Essex—an area that suits many of our skilled tradespeople who are based nearby.
